Job summary

BakeMark is seeking a detail-oriented Credit & Administrative Supervisor to manage credit control, collections, payroll reporting and AR/AP processes at our Tampa branch. You will supervise administrative and customer service staff, ensure policy compliance, and collaborate with the General Manager on period-end reporting.

Ideal candidates bring an Associate’s degree in Accounting or Business with 4+ years related experience, strong Excel/Access/Word skills, and proven leadership in a fast-paced

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for credit control, collection and reporting
  • Maintains accounts receivable insurance program.
  • Assist General Manager as appropriate and in report preparation
  • Directs the local accounts payable function, assuring coordination with central accounts payable
  • Directly manages administrative and customer service employees.
  • Local payroll reporting and maintains all payroll records.
  • Union dues billing, health & welfare, and pension payments and reconciliation.
  • Maintains all personnel Files, 401k and insurance programs.
  • Assists Central Accounting in period close.
  • Ensures compliance to administrative policy and procedures.
  • Handles corporate requests for information.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and safety rules as stated in the Employee Handbook and otherwise posted or communicated.
  • Exemplify the BakeMark core values of Partnership, Performance and Passion in all aspects of assigned duties.
  • Other duties may be assigned to meet company goals.
  • Clear reporting on the period GM report is a key requirement, with clear actions for deficiencies as well as opportunities. The report should prompt an open discussion of all other issues as well as responsible reporting on the period report. A clear insight into the working of the branch and the company should be the outcome.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Carries out supervisory responsibilities as a member of Branch staff, in accordance with Company policies and applicable laws. Directly supervises non-exempt administrative employees. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training associates; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Associate’s Degree in Accounting or Business and four years of related experience; or appropriate combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock and risk of radiation. Duties will be performed primarily indoors in an office-type environment, with occasional work being performed in a warehouse and/or freezer (exposure to –15 degree temperatures).
