Job summary

Apave America Inc. seeks a Local experienced Radiographer Profiler or Weld Quality Technician for a Nested/Full-Time role at our client site in Toledo, OH.

The RT Level II Technician will set up and calibrate equipment, interpret results, and oversee NDT testing in accordance with codes and standards. The candidate must hold a current IRRSP/State Card, SNT Level II RT, and have welding quality/profile shot experience.

Qualifications

• Current IRRSP or State radiographer card required.
• SNT Level II RT certification required.
• Exposure to Weld Quality or Profile Shots desired.
• Provide proof of RT/MT/PT classroom training hours.

Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate radiography equipment and interpret results.

Job description

Seeking a Local experienced Radiographer Profiler or Weld Quality Technician for a Nested/Full-Time role at our client site in Toledo, OH.

Level II Radiographers must have sufficient technical knowledge and skills to be qualified to set up and calibrate equipment and to interpret and evaluate results with respect to applicable codes, standards, and specifications. The RT Level II Technician must be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the methods for which qualified and shall exercise assigned responsibility for on-the-job training and guidance of trainees and NDT Level I personnel. The RT Level II Technician must be able to organize, and report results of NDT tests.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Current IRRSP Card or State Card required for Radiographers.
• SNT Level II certification in RT required for Radiographers.
• Must have experience with Weld Quality and/or Profile Shots.
• SNT Level II certifications in MT, PT, UTT And PMI will be considered an asset.
• Computed Radiography (CR) experience considered an asset.
• Must provide proof of classroom training hours in RT/MT/PT.
• Must have 40 hours of Radiation Safety Training.
• Must be capable of following verbal and written instructions.
• Capable of training assistant radiographers.

• Current SPRAT and/or IRATA Rope Access certification will be considered an asset.
• Valid Driver’s License and pre-access drug and alcohol testing required.
• Pre-employment background checks will be required.
• Valid TWIC Card required.

Physical Requirements:

• Move, carry, and lift objects 50 lbs.
• Must be able to walk, stand, bend, reach, and climb.
• Remain constantly active throughout shift.
• Vision abilities: close vision, distance vision.
• Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
