Job summary

Cohasset Public Schools is seeking a long-term substitute for a 7th grade Spanish class at Cohasset Middle School in Cohasset, Massachusetts. The candidate should have experience teaching middle school, strong classroom management, and knowledge of Spanish.

Familiarity with novice/intermediate language instruction and comfort with curriculum, assessments, and grading is required. US citizenship/residency or work visa is required; MA license 5-12 Spanish and SEI endorsement are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree and minimum 3 years’ experience preferred
• US Citizenship, residency or work VISA required
• Current MA License 5-12 Spanish preferred
• SEI Endorsement preferred
• At least 3 years of relevant experience preferred
• Master degree preferred

Responsibilities

• Deliver lessons to 7th grade Spanish class and oversee student work
• Follow existing curriculum, assessments, and learning objectives
• Utilize Google and other cloud-based platforms to assign and grade work
• Maintain classroom management and student engagement
• Collaborate with staff to support student progress
