  • NFHS certificates in bullying, hazing, concussion, health/safety, fundamentals of coaching, and heat illness prevention are required.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and conduct practices to develop individual and team athletic skills.
  • Teach sport-specific fundamentals, strategies, and rules.
  • Promote student-athlete growth, sportsmanship, and positive character.
  • Supervise student-athletes during practices, competitions, and activities.
  • Prepare teams for competitions and coach during games with professionalism.
  • Prioritize athlete safety and follow injury prevention and emergency protocols.
  • Communicate with students, parents, administrators, and athletic staff.
  • Assist with program administration, including equipment, records, and required documentation.
