Great Hearts Academies Forest Heights Upper School in San Antonio is seeking a dedicated 7th Grade Math Teacher to join our team. You will deliver the Great Hearts math curriculum, craft thoughtful lessons, and maintain a joyful, disciplined classroom environment aligned with our pursuit of truth, goodness, and beauty.

Required: Bachelor's degree or higher and US work authorization; certification is not required for general education.

Roles and Responsibilities


  • Teach assigned classes using the Great Hearts curriculum and materials, preparing thoughtful lessons and cultivating an orderly, joyful classroom that supports the pursuit of truth, goodness, and beauty.

  • Provide appropriate academic support to students, monitor progress, and partner with school leadership to address academic or behavioral needs in a timely manner.

  • Uphold and model the culture, policies, and expectations of Great Hearts, including dress code, conduct, and safety procedures, contributing to a respectful and orderly school environment.

  • Communicate clearly and professionally with families, initiating conferences as needed and fostering strong home-school partnerships.

  • Participate fully in the life of the academy through faculty collaboration, school events, assigned duties, and a shared commitment to ongoing professional growth and excellence in teaching.



Required/Preferred Education


  • Bachelor's or higher degree is required for a lead teaching role

  • Certification is not required for general education

  • All majors are welcome

  • US Work Authorization is required.



Travel required

May need to travel locally for training and professional development opportunities.
