Specialty Rx, Inc. is seeking a licensed pharmacist in Florida to join our team. The role covers long term care and hospital/retail settings, with strong emphasis on accuracy, safety, and patient care.

The position includes supervising medication preparation, maintaining controlled substances records, and collaborating with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals. Overnight 7on/7off shifts apply, with comprehensive health and retirement benefits.

Qualifications

• Licensed pharmacist in Florida; hospital/retail experience encouraged.
• Long Term Care experience preferred.
• Experience in hospital, retail pharmacy, or other medical fields.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organization.
• Computer skills; familiarity with pharmacy frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate medication orders for drug, dosage, interactions, and proper administration.
• Ensure medicines are correctly supplied and labeled.
• Recommend therapy changes to physicians when needed.
• Maintain customers' medical history and clinical data; investigate medication queries.
• Communicate with nursing staff, physicians, and healthcare team about medication queries.
• Supervise the preparation of medicines.
• Maintain register of controlled drugs for legal and stock control.
• Perform on-call duties when required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate medication orders for appropriateness of drug, dosage, potential interactions, and proper administration
• Ensure that dispense medicines are correctly supplied and labeled.
• Make recommendation for therapy changes to the physician and client facilities staff, if necessary.
• Maintain customers’ database to include medical history, clinical, laboratory data, etc.Investigate and resolve medication-related queries.
• Communicate with facilities nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare team members regarding medication-related query.
• Supervise the preparation of any medicines.
• Maintain register of controlled drugs for legal and stock control purposes.
• Maintain proper security conditions for medications.
• Perform “on-call” duties when required.

Qualifications

• Licensed pharmacist in the State of Florida.
• Long Term Care experience preferred.
• Previous experience in Hospital and Retail pharmacy or other medical fields.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Framework / ECM software knowledge a plus.
