Job summary

Specialty Rx, Inc. is seeking a licensed pharmacist in Florida to join our team. The position emphasizes accurate dispensing, order evaluation, and coordination of emergency kits with Omnicell systems.

Long term care experience is preferred, and prior hospital or retail pharmacy exposure is valued. The role requires strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills, plus solid computer proficiency.

Qualifications

• Licensed pharmacist in the State of Florida.
• Long Term Care experience preferred.
• Experience in Hospital and Retail pharmacy or related medical fields.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate medication orders for drug appropriateness, dosage, interactions and administration.
• Ensure dispensed medicines are correctly supplied and labeled.
• Review medications and narcotics for automated dispensing machine.
• Clarify and follow up on orders; obtain emergency CII verbals when needed.
• Coordinate emergency kits and check Omnicell cassettes.
• Perform on-call duties as required.
• Complete any other task assigned by the Pharmacist in Charge.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate medication orders for appropriateness of drug, dosage, potential interactions, and proper administration.

• Miscellaneous tasks, checks prepacks.
• Review medications & narcotics for automated dispensing machine.
• Works clarifications on orders and follow-ups.
• Obtain emergency CII verbals from physicians.
• Coordinates emergency kits and checks cassettes for the Omnicell machine.
• Perform "on-call" duties when required.
• Complete any other task assigned by the Pharmacist in Charge.

Qualifications

Schedule

• 2:30pm -11:00pm with rotating weekends and holidays.
• 7pm - 3:30am with rotating weekends and holidays.
