Job summary

Leech Lake Gaming is seeking a friendly beverage attendant to serve guests promptly and courteously on a 24/7 schedule. You will support guest service across the casino floor and assist with maintaining clean beverage areas and stock levels.

No prior experience is required, but a High School Diploma or GED is expected. Basic computer skills and the ability to pass a background check are essential.

Responsibilities

• Services guests with beverages in a prompt and courteous fashion.
• Supports good guest service throughout casino floor.
• Wipes down all dispensers, containers, sinks, and countertops on every shift.
• Restocks all condiments including cream, sugar, stir sticks, coffee cups, and soda cups.
• Maintains knowledge of all events in the property as a whole.
• Attends mandatory meetings and training.
• Maintains confidentiality at all times.
• Operates within tribal policies and internal controls.
• Secures assets of Leech Lake Gaming and the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Services our guests with beverages in a prompt and courteous fashion.


• Supports good guest service throughout casino floor.


• Assures service carts are cleaned, free of any soda, coffee, or residue including the wheels.


• Assures beverage room is cleaned thoroughly including inside cupboards and shelves, getting rid of cardboard debris and garbage, sweeping and mopping floors, and washing walls.


• Restocks all condiments including cream, sugar, stir sticks, coffee cups, and soda cups.


• Assures all containers are clearly marked at all times.


• Wipes down all dispensers, containers, sinks, and countertops on every shift.


• Maintains knowledge of all events in the property as a whole.


• Attends and/or facilitates all mandatory meetings and training.


• Maintains confidentiality at all times.


• Is sensitive to Native American Culture.


• Operates within the parameters of the Leech Lake Gaming Human Resource Policy, Departmental Policy Manual and all Tribal Internal Controls (TICs), and all other applicable regulations.


• Secures the assets of Leech Lake Gaming and the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe.


• Performs other duties as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• Must be friendly, courteous and prompt.


• Must be able to speak openly to guests in a friendly and respectful fashion.


• Must be able to work flexible hours, rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Must have the ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.


• Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds.


• Subject to internal working conditions including a smoking environment.

EDUCATION AND SKILLS

Education Required: High School Diploma or General Education Equivalency (GED).

Experience: No prior experience necessary.

Computer Skills: Must have basic computer skills.

Certificates & Licenses: Must meet Tribal/State compact licensing requirements, pass a criminal background check, and submit to drug testing.
