• Experience with planning instructional and behavioral programs for students with disabilities.
• Ability to interpret IEPs and implement related plans.
• Strong communication with teachers, families and staff.
• Knowledge of behavior management strategies and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and implementing learning experiences for students in the program.
• Confer with teachers to provide feedback on student performance.
• Interpret IEPs and related plans within teacher guidelines.
• Instruct students in small group and one-on-one settings.
• Revise lesson plans to meet IEP goals and objectives.
• Help students develop positive relationships with peers and adults.
• Promote safety and supervise students.
• Assist with behavior management and crisis intervention training as needed.
• Collaborate with classroom staff and external agencies to support individual plans.
