Westwood Heights Schools seeks a dedicated Guidance Counselor to support students in grades 7–12 at Hamady Middle High School. The role includes delivering counseling services and overseeing master scheduling for all 7th–12th graders.

The ideal candidate holds a Michigan School Counselor endorsement or active license, a Master’s degree in School Counseling, and experience with scheduling systems and secondary-school timetables.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in School Counseling or related field required.
• Valid Michigan School Counselor endorsement/licensure required for K-12 public schools.
• Experience with student information systems and timetable construction preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills required.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic, career, social, and emotional counseling to 7–12 graders.
• Lead and maintain master schedules and individual student schedules for 7–12.
• Collaborate with administration, staff, and parents to align scheduling with graduation requirements.
• Guide students through college, vocational, and post-secondary planning.
