• Schedules events for the season, transportation and requirements for each event.
• Assists in preparation to hold scheduled sport events or practices and adheres to facility times.
• Mentor athletes to promote character traits of trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship.
• Provides guidance and safeguards for each participant during practices, games, and travel.
• Communicates training rules and unique regulations of the sport to each participant.
• Follows programs and policies concerning injuries, medical attention and emergencies.
• Completes paperwork on athletic injuries and submits to district office within 24 hours.

JOB GOAL

To instruct athletes in the fundamental skills, strategy and physical training necessary for them to realize a degree of individual and team success. At the same time, the coach must instruct and demonstrate behaviors that lead to acceptable character development, self discipline, self confidence, and pride of accomplishment in the student athletes.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Serve as an appropriate role model for student athletes through his/her instructions and actions.

4. Schedules events for the season, transportation and requirements for each event.
5. Assists in the necessary preparation to hold scheduled sport events or practices and adheres to scheduled facility times.
6. Serves as a mentor to each athlete to promote the development and demonstration in student athletes the character traits of trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship.
7. Provides assistance, guidance and safeguards for each participant by his/her presence at all practices games and while traveling,.
8. Provides training rules and any other unique regulations of the sport to each athlete who is considered a participant.
9. Follows programs and policies concerning injuries, medical attention and emergencies.
10. Completes paperwork on all athletic injuries on proper forms and submits to district office within 24 hours.
