Sylvania is seeking a dedicated 6th Grade Volleyball Coach to lead our team for the upcoming season. You will design practices, run drills, and develop game strategies to help players grow while promoting sportsmanship and teamwork.

The ideal candidate has proven coaching experience, a solid understanding of volleyball rules and techniques, strong leadership, and excellent communication with players and families. CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.

  • Organize and oversee team events, competitions, and community outreach activities.
  • Monitor athletes' physical and mental well-being, providing support as needed.
  • Collaborate with assistant coaches to maintain a cohesive coaching approach.
  • Stay updated on coaching techniques and sport-related developments.
  • Adhere to league rules, regulations, and safety protocols.

Requirements

  • Excellent leadership and motivational skills, with the ability to inspire athletes of varying skill levels.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with athletes and their families.
  • Ability to analyze performance and implement effective training methods.
  • Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred.
  • Availability to commit to the entire season, including practices, games, and team events.
  • A degree in Sports Management, Physical Education, or a related field is a plus, but not required.
  • A passion for mentoring young athletes and promoting their personal and athletic development.
