Job summary

Middletown Public Schools is seeking a Long Term Substitute for 6th Grade Science at Beman Middle School. This position runs from mid February 2026 through the end of the 26/27 school year and spans a full school day.

The incumbent will teach 6th grade science, work from 7:50 a.m. to 3:16 p.m., and will transition to a Bachelor's, Step 3 daily rate after day 60, with benefits commencing on day 61 in accordance with the MFT Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Qualifications

• BA/BS required for long-term substitute position.
• At least 12 credits in the content/area to be taught (If assignment extends beyond 60 days).

Responsibilities

• Teach 6th Grade Science at Beman Middle School as a long-term substitute.
• Adhere to district policies and substitute procedures per MFT Collective Bargaining Agreement.
