Job summary

The candidate will deliver differentiated instruction and collaborate with faculty to plan rigorous reading and writing curricula. Required is a teaching credential in education with several years of relevant experience; a master’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education (grades 4-9) specializing in language arts and social studies; master’s degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of teaching experience in language arts and social studies instruction.
• Proven track record of helping students reach high levels of academic achievement.
• Willingness to obtain Ohio Permanent Non‑Tax certificate or substitute license within six months.

Responsibilities

• Deliver differentiated instruction to diverse learners.
• Collaboratively plan and co-teach social studies units.
• Plan and teach advisory lessons on geography, SEL, and human growth and development.
• Use reading and writing conferences and formative assessment to provide actionable feedback.
• Collaborate with grade-level partners, specialists, and academic support.
• Organize rigorous reading and writing instruction around established objectives.
• Involve parents and maintain strong home‑school communication.
