Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. Deer Creek site in Portland, OR is seeking a 6S Technician to drive workplace organization and cleanliness on the manufacturing floor. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–4 years of 5S/6S application experience.
• 4 years of manufacturing experience and good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides hands-on support to drive 6S activities.
• Engages operators and department leaders to determine best practices.
• Coordinates and implements departmental and plant 6S changes.
• Implements PCC 6S Standards throughout the plant.
• Site subject matter expert on the 6S Standards.
• Report areas of needed improvement to area leadership.
• Utilize and maintain the PCC site success log for communication to senior leadership.
• Drives workplace organization and cleanliness by teaching 6S skills to team and coaching supervisors on best practices.
• Train, manage, maintain, and ensure compliance to 6S standards and audit system.
• Facilitate group sessions for 6S training and 6S improvement workshops as needed.
• Prepare and communicate audit results to operational teammates.
• Partner safety initiatives, adheres to all safety rules and demonstrates safe work practices.
