Job summary

Inteplast Group is seeking a Packer (2nd Shift) to package and inspect materials and products. You will perform highly repetitive tasks, count and label cases, and ensure correct stacking on pallets.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and a willingness to work non-standard hours. The position involves inspecting for defects according to the Quality Assurance Standard, maintaining steady work pace, and handling secondary operations as needed to meet production targets.

Responsibilities

  • Performs repetitive trimming, flaming, assembly, inspection, counting, and packaging of components.
  • Visually inspects product for defects per Quality Assurance Standard.
  • Counts parts and packages within cases by height or weight as required.
  • Ensures cases are labeled correctly, sequenced, stamped, and palletized.
  • Performs secondary operations as needed and reworks defective products.

Job description

TITLE: Packer (2nd Shift)
POSITION OBJECTIVE:

Packages and inspects materials and products.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables
  • Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
  • Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, no prior experience or training
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Performs highly repetitive trimming, flaming, assembly, inspection, counting, and packaging of injection and/or blow molded components and parts
  • Visually inspects product for defects as defined in the QAS (Quality Assurance Standard)
  • Counts parts and individual packages within cases either by stack height or weight as required
  • Ensures that cases are labeled correctly, in the proper sequence, stamped with an operator/packer stamp, and stacks cases on pallets
  • Performs secondary operations as required
  • Reworks/sorts defective product as necessary
  • Maintains a steady rate of work as to meet or exceed standard labor costs
  • Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary
  • Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.
WORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS SUBJECTED TO IN THIS POSITION:
  • Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles and extreme heat.
  • Loud noise level that requires hearing protection
