Job summary

Interstate Mechanical LLC in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a skilled Combination Pipe Welder to join our mechanical contracting team. You will weld and fit piping systems, read blueprints, and work on carbon steel and stainless steel materials in commercial and industrial settings.

The ideal candidate has experience with GMAW, SMAW, GTAW/TIG, and 6G welding, plus the ability to interpret drawings and spool sheets. OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 is preferred and current welding certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience with GMAW, SMAW, GTAW/TIG, and STIC welding.
• Experience welding carbon steel and stainless steel pipe.
• Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, spool sheets, and welding symbols.
• Pass weld tests as required by project specifications.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be dependable and able to report to work as scheduled.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 preferred.
• Current welding certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding using multiple processes, including GMAW, SMAW, GTAW/TIG.
• Perform 6G welding as required by project specifications.
• Weld carbon steel, stainless steel, and other piping materials as required.
• Fit and fabricate piping systems, supports, and related components.
• Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, spool sheets, and welding symbols.
• Prepare materials by cutting, grinding, beveling, and fitting as needed.
• Perform work in accordance with project specifications, code requirements, and company standards.
• Inspect completed welds for quality and accuracy.
• Maintain welding equipment, tools, and work areas in a safe and organized manner.
• Follow all IMCOR safety policies and jobsite requirements.
• Work with foremen, superintendents, and other trades to complete work efficiently and professionally.
