Qualifications

• 6G welding certification required.
• Previous pipe welding experience required.

• Ability to read welding drawings, specifications, and weld symbols.
• Strong attention to weld quality and workmanship.
• Dependable attendance and professional jobsite conduct.
• Ability to work the required 40-hour schedule.
• Must comply with all base access, security and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform 6G pipe welding according to project specifications and procedures.
• Complete high-quality pipe welds in multiple positions.
• Read and interpret welding drawings, specifications and symbols.
• Prepare pipe by cutting, grinding, beveling and cleaning materials.
• Perform pipe fit-up and alignment as required.
• Complete root, fill and cap passes following procedures.
• Inspect welds for quality and accuracy and ensure safe operation of equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and comply with base safety rules.
