Job summary

JW Williams, a Westerman company, is hiring experienced 6G Pipe and GMAW/FCAW welders in Casper, Wyoming. You will weld pressure vessels, piping systems, and production equipment to ASME and customer standards.

Must pass AWS/ASME weld tests and maintain 95% weld acceptability in NDE; 5k sign-on bonus and relocation available for qualified candidates. Night shift differential and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1-4 years of Vessel Fabrication experience.
• Must pass AWS/ASME weld tests.
• Minimum 95% acceptability in NDE tests of welds.

Responsibilities

• Perform 6G pipe welding and GMAW/FCAW welding.

TO BE CONSIDERED FOR A WELDER 1 POSITION:

EDUCATION

• High School Diploma or equivalent

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• 1-4 years of Vessel Fabrication experience
• Must be able to clear a weld assessment screening, including Pass AWS/ASME 1 6G GMAW/FCAW
• Must maintain a minimum of 95% acceptability in NDE test of welds

TO BE CONSIDERED FOR A WELDER 3 POSITION:

EDUCATION

• High School Diploma or equivalent

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Technical training preferred but not required
• Three or more years of related experience
• Demonstrated proficiency in four or more welding processes (GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, SMAW, SAW) with ability to pass 2 6G (GMAW/FCAW, SMAW)
• Must be able to demonstrate welding ability and knowledge by performing ASME & AWS Code weld tests on pipe and plate utilizing four welding processes
• Must maintain a minimum of 95% acceptability in NDE tests of welds
• Ability to mentor less experience welders

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, up to entire length of shift.
• Must be able to exert moderate to heavy physical effort with lifting requirement up to 50 pounds.
• Must have strong range of motion.
• Must be able to sit, stand, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, and bend.
• Must be able to see, speak, hear, and read.
• Must be able to read instructions and all measuring devices.
• Must use fingers and hands to manipulate tools and small parts.
• Must be able to walk over both even and uneven surfaces.
• Must be able to work in extreme temperatures, both hot and cold.
• Must wear all required PPE.
• Must be physically able to access all areas of the plant and grounds.
• Some aspects of this position may require working in tight quarters.
• Some aspects of this position may require close vision, depth perception, the ability to see small detail, and the ability to adjust focus.
