Job summary

InterDigital, Inc. is seeking a Research Engineer to advance AI-enabled 6G systems and build end-to-end testbeds. The role focuses on integrating AI across RAN, core, transport, and edge/cloud components to create working prototypes and compelling demonstrations.

The candidate will develop AI methods for wireless systems, build prototypes, and contribute to publications and standards efforts. A PhD or near completion is preferred, with strong AI/ML and systems background.

Qualifications

• Requires Masters minimum; PhD preferred in EE, CE, CS, or related field.
• Strong AI/ML theory and hands-on software development experience.
• Experience across RAN, core/service, transport, app layers, and edge/cloud is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, integrate, and evaluate end-to-end AI-enabled wireless testbeds and demos.
• Develop high-quality research software and simulations using Python, C/C++, Linux.
• Bridge theory and practice by validating ideas with simulations and testbeds.
