Job summary

InterDigital, Inc. is seeking a highly qualified RAN researcher (Ph.D. completed within the last 5 years or near completion) to support research and development on advanced wireless systems (6G and beyond).

The role involves creating intellectual property, contributing to 3GPP standards, engaging in collaborative R&D projects, and disseminating results in scientific and industry forums and consortia. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential. Ideal candidates have a Ph.D.

Qualifications

• Experience in 5G-advanced or 6G wireless research and lab prototyping, typically through doctoral work.
• Advanced degrees in EE, CS or similar; Ph.D. is a plus but MSc with relevant experience also considered.
• Knowledge of AI/ML techniques and their application to communication systems.
• Strong dissemination record (publications, standardization talks, panels).
• Dedicated, results-oriented, able to work in fast-paced environments with high autonomy.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Work with the project lead to develop advanced terminal technologies in the RAN area.
• Contribute to internal technology development and align with broader objectives.
• Support review/approval of project deliverables.
• Represent InterDigital interests in collaborative project activities and standardization efforts.
• Contribute to standards inputs and industry publications in areas of expertise.
• Communicate and socialize project activities within internal teams.
