Qualifications

• Masters is a minimum with a PhD preferred in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
• Strong theoretical foundation and hands-on experience in AI/ML with working software, simulations, prototypes, experiments, or testbeds.
• Strong foundation in wireless, mobile, networked, or cyber-physical systems across RAN, core, transport, and edge/cloud layers.
• Ability to translate research ideas into working software, simulations, prototypes, experiments, or testbeds beyond conceptual analysis.
• Proficiency in Python and experience with C, C++ in Linux-based development environments.
• Experience with ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX.
• Ability to debug and integrate complex multi-component systems and reason across interfaces and layers of end-to-end architectures.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; collaborative and self-directed.

Responsibilities

• Conduct advanced research on AI-enabled mobile networks and emerging 6G systems.
• Architect, implement, integrate, and operate end-to-end research testbeds and proof-of-concept systems.
• Bridge theory and practice by validating ideas through simulations and testbeds; analyze results to refine concepts.
• Develop and evaluate AI/ML techniques for communication and networked systems, including multi-agent AI and learning-based optimization.
• Build prototypes of AI-enabled networking and distributed-intelligence concepts and perform rigorous experiments.
• Design experiments and metrics; evaluate performance under realistic conditions including congestion and mobility.
• Develop high-quality research software, simulations, automation, visualization, and instrumentation using Python, C/C++, MATLAB, Linux, and AI frameworks.
• Translate research results into technical reports, invention disclosures, publications, and demonstrations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams spanning wireless, AI, standards, and prototyping groups.
