Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Modeling & Simulation engineer to build high-fidelity 6DOF simulations and digital twins for its TRS GNC programs. You will contribute to physics-based representations of aerial platforms and integrate with flight control software.

The role requires experience in aerospace modeling, sub-system fidelity, and strong coding practices. Collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams is essential and a passion for defense is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Robotics, CS, Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• 8 years of professional Modeling & Simulation experience for airborne platforms.
• Proficient in C++, Matlab, Simulink, Simulink Embedded Coder, and Python.
• Experience modeling linear and nonlinear dynamic systems.
• Experience with Monte-Carlo simulations and flight test data analysis tools.
• Modeling aerodynamic and rotorcraft dynamics, sensors and actuators.

Responsibilities

• Develop 6DOF and GNC algorithms and simulations.
• Maintain SITL and HITL tests for validation.
• Collaborate with flight software to integrate GNC software.
• Characterization work for aero, optics, actuators, IMUs, etc.
• Review flight data to verify performance and debug issues.
• Develop models for functional evaluation of GNC software.
