Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate and engaging weather forecasts across television, streaming, digital, and social platforms.
• Lead severe weather coverage with a strong focus on public safety and audience impact.
• Report, write, shoot, edit, and produce weather and news content under deadline.
• Perform live reports from the field during breaking weather and major news events.
• Collaborate with newsroom teams to create compelling, audience-focused coverage.
• Maintain an active and engaging presence on social media and digital platforms.

Basic Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a top television market.

Required Education

• Bachelor's degree in Meteorology, Atmospheric Science, Broadcast Meteorology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

The hiring range for this position in Philadelphia is $140,000 to $160,000 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.

A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
