Deliver accurate and engaging weather forecasts across television, streaming, digital, and social platforms.
Lead severe weather coverage with a strong focus on public safety and audience impact.
Report, write, shoot, edit, and produce weather and news content under deadline.
Perform live reports from the field during breaking weather and major news events.
Collaborate with newsroom teams to create compelling, audience-focused coverage.
Maintain an active and engaging presence on social media and digital platforms.
Represent the station at community events and public appearances.
Exceptional weather knowledge and the ability to communicate complex information clearly across multiple platforms.
Strong storytelling, reporting, writing, and live presentation skills.
Demonstrated ability to deliver high-impact severe weather coverage in the studio and the field.
Experience engaging audiences across linear, streaming, and digital platforms.
Minimum 3 years of on-air meteorology experience.
Strong commitment to community engagement and public service.
Experience in a top television market.
Video shooting and editing experience a plus.
Bachelor's degree in Meteorology, Atmospheric Science, Broadcast Meteorology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
The hiring range for this position in Philadelphia is $140,000 to $160,000 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
