TITLE: Extrusion Technician C
POSITION OBJECTIVE: Pack in a safe, efficient manner while maintaining the highest quality possible.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Available for overtime.
- Must have mechanical aptitude.
- Available to train on different machinery and different lines.
- Forklift Operator Certification.
- Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
- Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Safety, must comply with all written and verbal safety rules that apply for the plant and department. Must be willing and able to wear all personal protective equipment.
- Maintain good housekeeping.
- Must show the ability to learn how to lace-up equipment.
- Must show the ability to learn all future tasks of the job, and show continuous improvement throughout training process.
- Must be able to name and use standard hand tools.
- Must show the ability to do basic math such as adding, dividing, subtraction, percentages, etc.
- Must be able to read a tape measure down to 1/16"
- Must be able to locate all E-stops on the machine in which they are being trained on, and must know how to activate the E-stops.
- Must be able to perform all daily task of data entry in the IBS Production System.
WORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS SUBJECTED TO IN THIS POSITION:
- Subject to extreme heat, temperatures above 100 degrees for periods of more than one hour
PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION:
- Stooping/Bending
- Kneeling
- Standing for long periods of time
