The Agency for Health Care Administration is Florida's chief health policy and planning entity.

The Agency is responsible for administering the Florida Medicaid program, the licensure and regulation of nearly 50,000 health care facilities, and empowering consumers through health care transparency initiatives.

Under the direction of Agency Secretary Shevaun L. Harris, the Agency is focused on advancing Governor DeSantis’ vision for Florida’s health care system to be the most cost-effective, transparent, and high-quality health care system in the nation.

This position is exempt under confidentiality in accordance with F.S. 110.205 (2)(w).

This position is in the Office of the Inspector General's (OIG) and as such performs duties that relate to collective bargaining and personnel issues.

In carrying out the duties of this position, the incumbent is expected at all times to abide by the agency’s standards of conduct, as well as any and all agency policies and procedures applicable to performing the duties of this position.

A good attendance record is essential for any individual in this position as the work involved occurs daily and is time sensitive.

The individual in this position is expected to report to work daily and on time.

The employee in this position performs administrative work for OIG Internal Audit.

The work requires a high degree of initiative, independence, judgment, accuracy and understanding of administration.

Administrative & Operational Support
  • Assists with Internal Audit’s scheduling, calendars, meeting coordination, and travel arrangements.
  • Assist with tracking audit workflow, deadlines, staff certifications, and continuing professional education documentation.
  • Support onboarding logistics for new audit staff, including system access forms, coordination with HR, and workspace preparation.
  • Prepare routine correspondence, memos, forms, and documentation in compliance with agency standards.
Records & Document Management
  • Maintain Internal Audit’s document libraries, templates, and procedural manuals.
  • Ensure confidential and time-\u2011sensitive documents are processed securely and in compliance with policy.
  • Assist with retaining and archiving records according to retention requirements.
Compliance, Policy & Quality Support
  • Assist with monitoring adherence to Internal Audit’s procedures, templates, and administrative processes.
  • Support preparation for external/internal quality assessments.
  • Track training requirements to support staff compliance with the 40-\u2011hour annual continuing education standard for audit personnel (as referenced in SES Internal Audit PD content).
  • Support updates to internal policies, manuals, and procedural documents.

Under the direction and supervision of the Audit Director assist auditors with audit follow-ups as required.

Performs other duties as assigned or required.

This position will be filled at $1,336.92 biweekly and is non-negotiable.
