Job summary

Leech Lake Gaming is hiring for a laundry/housekeeping role responsible for providing clean and sanitary linen for guests. The position requires knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment, with no prior experience necessary.

Flexible scheduling and a 24/7 operation support a dynamic work environment. Must pass background checks and licensing requirements; excellent attendance and reliability are essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat working area.
• Ensure laundry equipment runs properly and linen is washed as available.
• Keep inventory of linen in storage and folded/ stored properly.
• Respond to guest inquiries promptly and maintain knowledge of events at the property.
• Attend mandatory meetings and training; maintain confidentiality.
• Operate within policy manuals and regulatory requirements.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Provides clean and sanitary linen for Guests and is done in an efficient manner.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

RESPONSIBLITIES:

• Maintains a clean, neat working area.
• Assures that laundry equipment is running properly.
• Washes lines as they are available.
• Keeps inventory of linen in storage.
• Maintains all pertinent equipment.
• Folds and stores laundry appropriately.
• Keeps count of laundry washed per day.
• Trains in for room cleaning.
• Responds to guest inquiries in a timely, expedient manner.
• Maintains knowledge of all events in the property as a whole.
• Attends and/or facilitates all mandatory meetings and training.
• Maintains confidentiality at all times.
• Is sensitive to Native American Culture.
• Operates within the parameters of the Leech Lake Gaming Human Resource Policy, Departmental Policy Manual and all Tribal Internal Controls (TICs), and all other applicable regulations.
• Secures the assets of Leech Lake Gaming and the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

1. Knowledge of all cleaning chemicals used.

2. Knowledge of assigned cleaning equipment.

3. Dependable, honest and trustworthy.

4. Must have a good attendance record.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Physically capable of pushing, bending, standing and walking for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Subject to internal working conditions, including a smoking environment.

EDUCATION AND SKILLS

Education Required: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)

Experience: No prior experience necessary

Computer Skills: No computer skills required.

Certificates & Licenses: Must meet Tribal/State compact licensing requirements, pass criminal background check and submit to drug testing.
