Job summary

Inteplast Group seeks a Maintenance Technician B to ensure safe, efficient operation of production equipment through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and timely repairs.

The role focuses on minimizing downtime, safety compliance, and optimizing machinery performance to support manufacturing goals. On-site with competitive pay and strong benefits, prior experience with lathes/mills and extrusion equipment is preferred.

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years related maintenance experience preferred.
  • Experience using mechanical lathes and mills (non-CNC).
  • Previous experience in plastic extrusion process equipment preferred.
  • Attend annual training and practice of Lock Out/Tag Out procedures.
  • Must possess basic plumbing skills.
  • Requires basic working knowledge of powered hand tools (drills, saws, cutting tools).
  • Good verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of lock out/tag out procedures.
  • Ability to accommodate non-standard work hours when necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance on all types of production equipment.
  • Inspect parts or defects and determine needs for repairs.
  • Reassemble equipment after inspections and testing.
  • Clean, lubricate, adjust parts and machinery.
  • Record repairs and maintenance performed on equipment.

Job description

TITLE: Maintenance Technician B
POSITION OBJECTIVE

To ensure the safe, efficient, and continuous operation of facility equipment and systems by performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs. This role focuses on minimizing downtime, maintaining compliance with safety standards, and optimizing machinery performance to support overall operational goals.

  • 7:30am to 4:00pm Monday-Friday

QUALIFICATIONS
  • One to two years related maintenance experience preferred.
  • Candidates must have experience using mechanical lathes and mills - (non-CNC)
  • Previous experience in plastic extrusion process equipment preferred.
  • Attend annual training and practice of Lock Out/Tag Out procedures.
  • Must possess basic plumbing skills.
  • Requires basic working knowledge of powered hand tools.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible got performing preventative maintenance tasks on all types of production equipment.
  • Required to examine parts or defects and access equipment needs and parts required to solve malfunctions.
  • Reassembling equipment after competition of inspections and testing.
  • Clean, lubricate, adjust parts, equipment, and machinery.
  • Record repairs and maintenance performed on equipment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS SUBJECTED TO IN THIS POSITION:
  • Candidates must be able to tolerate excessive heat during summer months.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION
  • Ability to quickly move your hand, your hands together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, lift, manipulate or assemble objects. (many duties require hand over hand movement) (frequently)
  • Ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands.
  • Must be able to see in low light conditions, hear, and speak clearly.
  • Ability to stand and change positions frequently over a twelve-hour period.
  • Ability to exert muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects. (Lifting requirements up to and including 50 lbs.) (frequently).
  • Ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms, and legs. Must be able to reach and lift up to 50 lbs. above shoulders (frequently) reaching above head (occasionally), stooping (occasionally), twisting (occasionally), and bending at waist. (occasionally)
  • Ability to use your abdominal and lower back muscles repeatedly or continuously to lift objects. (frequently)
