Job summary

L.P.T Retail Management Services, LLC is seeking a store manager for MOSES in Moses Lake, WA to maximize sales and gross profit while controlling expenses and protecting assets.

Responsibilities include cash/inventory controls, end-of-day reports, daily bank deposits, and staff recruitment, coaching, and scheduling. Ensure merchandising, pricing, and safety standards are met; reports to District Manager.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and understand the English language; fluency in other languages is a plus.
• Ability and willingness to work long and sometimes unusual hours, standing for extended periods.
• High school level math competency.
• Collaborative work style, able to partner with all personnel to drive overall site performance.
• Insurable by company's auto liability insurance carrier.
• 2+ years management experience
• Able to lift 50 lbs

Responsibilities

• Maintain proper controls on cash, inventory and expenses.
• Transmit end-of-day reports by noon on Monday and by midnight all other days of the week.
• Make bank deposits daily by the established deadline.
• Call in fuel report by 8:00 a.m. each day.
• Analyze sales trends by shift and by day; request assistance as needed.
• Recruit, screen and train new employees.
• Coach and direct the activities of employees and provide on-going training.
• Help write and enforce work schedules for all employees within the labor guidelines established.
• Delegate duties as necessary.
• In the absence of the Manager, the Assistant Manager may hire/dismiss with District Manager approval.
• Cover open shifts.
• Ensure store meets company standards and that policies are followed.
• Order groceries to avoid overstock/stockouts.
• Check in vendors.
• Ensure merchandising procedures are implemented on time and pricing signage is correct.
• Update the price book and implement price changes.
• Maintain the store's expense checkbook.
• Conduct fuel price surveys and adjust as directed.
• Conduct a competition price survey monthly.

Reports to: District Manager

Purpose: To maximize sales and gross profit dollars while controlling expenses and protecting the company’s assets. Some duties include, but are not limited to:

• Maintain proper controls on cash, inventory and expenses.
• Complete and transmit end-of-day reports by noon on Monday and by midnight all other days of the week.
• Make bank deposits daily by the established deadline.
• Call in fuel report by 8:00 a.m. each day.
• Analyze sales trends by shift and by day. Request assistance from the Store Manager and District Manager when needed.
• Recruit, screen and train new employees.
• Coach and direct the activities of employees in store on a day-to-day basis and provide on-going training.
• Help write and enforce work schedules for all employees within the labor guidelines established.
• Delegate duties as necessary.
• In the absence of the Manager, the Assistant Manager is authorized to hire or dismiss any other employee only with the approval of the District Manager.
• Cover open shifts.
• Ensure that store meets company standards (safety, appearance, security, etc.) and that all employees comply with company policies. This responsibility includes addressing any maintenance issues, resolving any Ready for Business (or other site standards checklist) discrepancies, and conducting a Beginning of Day walk thru.
• Order groceries so as to avoid both overstocked and out-of-stock conditions.
• Check in vendors.
• Ensure merchandising procedures are implemented on a timely basis. Displays for sale items should be built timely and should include proper product on pricing on the correct signage.
• Update the price book as directed and effect price changes as they occur.
• Maintain the store's expense checkbook.
• Conduct fuel price surveys and change fuel prices as directed.
• Conduct a competition price survey during the first week of each month.
