ACCEL Schools is hiring highly qualified 6-8th Grade Teachers in Dayton, Ohio, for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year. Responsibilities of the Teacher include:

1. Prepare and deliver lesson plans, modifying them as needed during the school year
2. Differentiate instruction to meet all students' needs
3. Maintain accurate records of students’ progress and development
4. Utilize research-based best practices in planning and instruction
5. Manage student behavior effectively
6. Create a positive learning environment
7. Use curricula that reflect students' diverse backgrounds
8. Implement school-wide culture expectations
9. Communicate with families about academic and social-emotional growth
10. Incorporate technology into daily lessons
11. Participate in planning and non-instructional activities
12. Collaborate with colleagues
13. Perform other duties as assigned

About You:

1. Current Ohio teaching license in appropriate content area
2. Bachelor’s degree in education or related field
3. Comfortable working in a growth-focused coaching environment
4. Excellent communication skills
5. Ability to manage confidential information
6. Experience supervising students in various settings
7. Ability to pass background checks
8. Experience working in urban environments
