Position Summary

The Middle School Teacher provides rigorous, subject‑specific instruction for grades 6–8, fostering academic excellence and personal growth during a critical developmental stage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required
• Valid Michigan teaching certificate with appropriate subject‑area endorsement (grades 6–8), or eligibility for certification through the Michigan State Board of Education
• Candidates who do not yet hold a Michigan teaching certificate may qualify through enrollment in GEE's Career Advancement Program (CAP), which provides a supported pathway to Michigan certification. CAP eligibility is determined at the time of application.
• Satisfactory criminal background check

Physical Requirements
