Job summary

Global Educational Excellence seeks a Middle School Teacher for grades 6–8 at Riverside Academy West in Dearborn, MI. The role is exempt and full-time, reporting to the Academy Principal. You will deliver rigorous, subject-specific instruction and use data to drive decisions.

Qualified candidates hold a Bachelor's degree and a Michigan teaching certificate with 6–8 endorsement or eligibility through CAP; a background check is required. CAP provides a supported pathway to certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Valid Michigan teaching certificate with appropriate subject-area endorsement (grades 6–8), or eligibility for certification through the Michigan State Board of Education.
• Candidates may qualify through enrollment in GEE's Career Advancement Program (CAP), eligibility determined at application.
• Satisfactory criminal background check.

• Use data and formative assessments to drive daily instructional decisions.

• Communicate student progress to families, counselors, and administrators.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Middle School Teacher provides rigorous, subject-specific instruction for grades 6–8, fostering academic excellence and personal growth during a critical developmental stage.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree required
• Valid Michigan teaching certificate with appropriate subject-area endorsement (grades 6–8), or eligibility for certification through the Michigan State Board of Education
• Candidates who do not yet hold a Michigan teaching certificate may qualify through enrollment in GEE's Career Advancement Program (CAP), which provides a supported pathway to Michigan certification. CAP eligibility is determined at the time of application.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to perform the physical demands of the role, including lifting, bending, stooping, squatting, and standing for extended periods. Work environment includes elevated noise levels.
