Job summary

Global Educational Excellence (GEE) is seeking a Middle School Teacher to provide rigorous, subject-specific instruction for grades 6–8 in Southeast Michigan. The role emphasizes academic achievement and personal growth during a critical developmental stage.

The successful candidate will plan and deliver differentiated instruction, use data-driven decisions to guide instruction, and collaborate with grade-level teams to support diverse learners and family communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Valid Michigan teaching certificate with appropriate subject-area endorsement (grades 6–8), or eligibility for certification through the Michigan State Board of Education.
• CAP eligibility determined at time of application as a pathway to Michigan certification.
• Satisfactory criminal background check required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver aligned, differentiated instruction in the assigned subject area.
• Use data and formative assessments to drive daily instructional decisions.
• Implement tiered instructional supports to meet diverse learner needs.
• Cultivate a disciplined, respectful, and academically focused classroom environment.
• Coordinate planning within subject-area and grade-level teams.
• Communicate student progress to families, counselors, and administrators.
• Participate in professional development, collaborative planning, and staff meetings.

POSITION SUMMARY

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree required
• Valid Michigan teaching certificate with appropriate subject-area endorsement (grades 6–8), or eligibility for certification through the Michigan State Board of Education
• Candidates who do not yet hold a Michigan teaching certificate may qualify through enrollment in GEE's Career Advancement Program (CAP), which provides a supported pathway to Michigan certification. CAP eligibility is determined at the time of application.
• Satisfactory criminal background check

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to perform the physical demands of the role, including lifting, bending, stooping, squatting, and standing for extended periods. Work environment includes elevated noise levels.
