General Information

The Fordland R-3 School District is accepting applications for a 6-12 Special Education Teacher for the 2026/27 School Year.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate should be a team member willing to work hard to help increase academic achievement, be energetic, enthusiastic, caring yet firm, and manage the classroom effectively. Knowledge in writing IEPs, Section 504 Plans, behavior plans, and the Special Education process is required. Experience with students who have behavioral needs and collaborating with all team members is expected.

Qualifications

Applicants must possess appropriate Missouri DESE certification. Previous experience is preferred, but not required. Certification in Special Education Mild/Moderate Cross Categorical is required. Preferred skills include DLM knowledge and prior experience.
