Job summary

Thompson Austin - 5th Street Diner is a diner-themed bar and Restaurant inside the Thompson and Tommie Austin hotels. The 5th Street Diner Busser assists the Food Server, supporting guest service and maintaining a fast-paced dining environment.

You should possess good communication and physical stamina to lift moderate weight, stand for long periods, and work flexible morning and afternoon shifts, including weekends and holidays.

The Role

5th Street Diner, is a diner-themed bar and Restaurant, inside the Thompson and Tommie Austin, two premier lifestyle hotels in Downtown Austin – This new concept includes indoor dining space, servicing hotel guests and Residents.

The 5 th Street Diner Busser is responsible primarily for assisting the Food Server in serving the guest. This person must have good communication skills as well as the ability to lift, pull and push moderate weight. This is a fast paced position with continual customer contact.

Both hotels are anchored on the ground floor by our re-imagined cantina-themed restaurant, a 13,000 sq ft. indoor and outdoor oasis as well as The 5th Street Diner + The Royal Room, a street-side concept serving daily fare for locals, residents, and guests alike. This mixed-use project will also feature a residential tower – Sienna – and 10,000 square feet of retail space and a 7,000 sq. ft. state of the art fitness center and simulator room, appropriately named the “T” Box.
