Job Description

We are seeking a 5th grade classroom teacher for the 2026-2027 school year.

The candidate should collaborate with staff to carry out the mission of Corpus Christi Catholic School, integrating Catholic doctrines into the curriculum.

Qualifications

• Valid Michigan teaching certificate with elementary certification
• Proficient with technology usage and integration in the classroom
• Excellent classroom management skills
• Practicing Catholic, certified or willing to complete catechetical certification
• Develop lesson plans that provide individualized and small group instruction
• Communicate regularly with parents outside normal classroom day
• Establish and maintain standards of pupil behavior to achieve an effective learning atmosphere
• Evaluate pupils’ academic and social growth and keep appropriate records
• Identify student needs
• Available to students and parents for educational-related purposes outside the instructional day
• Bilingual (Spanish or Vietnamese) preferred
