Global Leadership Academy is seeking a qualified 5th Grade Science Teacher to provide standards-based instruction and support student achievement in science at the Discovery Campus in Jacksonville, FL. Salary starts at $51,000 based on experience.

The teacher will deliver NGSS-aligned instruction, develop engaging lesson plans, facilitate hands-on experiments, assess progress with data, differentiate for diverse learners, and collaborate with staff, families, and instructional coaches.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Florida Teaching Certificate in Elementary Education K-6.
• Knowledge of science instruction and classroom management strategies.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver NGSS-aligned science instruction.
• Develop and implement lesson plans promoting inquiry and critical thinking.
• Facilitate hands-on experiments and interactive learning experiences.
• Assess student progress and use data to inform instruction and interventions.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs.
• Maintain a structured and positive classroom environment.
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress.
• Collaborate with teachers, instructional coaches, and school staff.
• Participate in professional development and school meetings.
