Job summary

BASIS Cedar Park Campus is seeking a qualified 5th Grade Physical Science Teacher to join our bright, passionate team. The role focuses on delivering BASIS Curriculum with high engagement and high expectations for student achievement.

Qualified candidates will hold a bachelor’s degree in the subject area (or equivalent credits), maintain IVP clearance, and be proficient with MS Office. Preferred candidates have a master’s in education or subject area and 2+ years teaching experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in subject matter or 24+ credits in applicable subject matter with other degree.
• IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and facilitate subject and grade specific lesson plans.
• Provide subject instruction above grade level in an interactive environment.
• Implement BASIS Curriculum with creative lessons and assessments.
• Collaborate with BASIS Curriculum teachers to develop curriculum material.
• Tutor students in content-specific knowledge to boost academic trajectory.
• Manage student behavior to support achievement and responsibility.
• Support non-instructional functions such as Early Bird/Late Bird and lunch.
• Maintain consistent attendance.
• Supervise students individually or in groups.
