Job summary

BASIS Baton Rouge Materra Campus is seeking a qualified 5th Grade Science Teacher for the 2026/27 school year. The Science Teacher ensures exceptional education by preparing and facilitating lesson plans tailored to foster student engagement and achievement.

Ideal candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree and demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Also, they will be responsible for implementing the BASIS Curriculum and collaborate with fellow educators to enhance the academic pathway of students.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in subject matter.
• Valid fingerprint clearance and/or satisfactory applicable state background check.
• 2+ years teaching/education experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and facilitate lesson plans specific to 5th-grade Science.
• Implement the BASIS Curriculum by designing effective and creative lessons.
• Tutor students to enhance academic success.
