Sonoran Science Academy is seeking a dedicated and reliable Long-Term Substitute Teacher to lead 5th Grade Math and Science for the remainder of the school year, maintaining instructional continuity and upholding strong classroom expectations from day one. Start date is July 13, 2026 and end date October 2, 2026.

The daily rate is $190. This contract role requires professionalism, structure, and the ability to collaborate with staff to ensure a smooth transition and ongoing student support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Secondary mathematics teaching experience preferred.
• Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
• Professional, dependable, and adaptable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver daily math instruction for grades 6–12 following established
• Create an engaging, organized, and supportive classroom environment.
• Implement effective classroom management strategies that promote learning and student achievement.
• Monitor student progress, provide feedback, and support individual learning needs.
• Maintain accurate attendance, grades, and classroom records.
• Communicate effectively with students, families, and school staff as needed.
• Collaborate with teachers and administrators to ensure a smooth transition and consistent student support.
• Promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment.
