Job summary

The Portsmouth School District is looking for a Long-term Substitute to provide continuity of instruction at Dondero Elementary School. This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in education and state certification. You will be responsible for developing lesson plans, assessing student learning, and maintaining a safe classroom environment.

Qualifications

• State Certification in Teaching.
• Motor Vehicle Operator's License or ability to provide own transportation.
• Successful prior teaching experience for the appropriate grade level preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity of instruction in the absence of regular faculty.
• Develop and administer school curriculum consistent with district goals.
• Conduct ongoing assessment of student learning and modify methods as needed.

Education
