5th Grade English Language Arts Teacher (25/26 School Year)

Join us at Rocky Mountain Prep as a 5th Grade English Language Arts Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year.

We are a movement of educators, families, scholars, and advocates dedicated to transforming public education in Colorado by increasing college access for historically marginalized students. Our network includes twelve college preparatory charter schools in the Denver metro area, serving students from infancy through 12th grade.

Role Mission:

Our elementary teachers empower students academically and socially-emotionally, fostering a love of learning, resilience, and curiosity. You will create inclusive, joyful classrooms that challenge students and support their growth, helping them realize their big dreams and serve their communities.

All Teachers at Rocky Mountain Prep will:

  • Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to deliver targeted interventions.

Elementary Teachers at RMP will:

  • Inspire a love of learning through engaging, differentiated lessons.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive classroom environment.
  • Build strong relationships with students and families.
  • Collaborate with team members and specialists to support student success.
  • Apply the Common Core Standards and data to inform instruction.
  • Implement science-based reading instruction to develop confident, voracious readers.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree (any subject)

Other Requirements:

  • Complete CDE READ Act or CDE Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CLD) training within the first year.
  • Pass a background check.
  • Demonstrate eligibility to work in the U.S.
  • Use E-Verify for employment verification.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary range: $60,000 - $89,000, based on experience.
  • Benefits include health, dental, vision insurance, disability, life insurance, PERA retirement, and paid time off.
