Job summary

Academies of Math and Science (AMS) seeks a passionate 4th Grade English Language Arts teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. Start is ASAP at our Peoria, AZ campus (7785 West Peoria Avenue, Peoria, AZ 85345).

This on-site, full-time position focuses on standards-aligned instruction, literacy development, and data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s in Education or a related field, has AZ teaching credentials or is eligible, and is committed to serving Title I and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
• Valid Arizona teaching certification in a relevant subject area.
• SEI Endorsement or completion of 45 hours of SEI training is preferred but not required.
• Demonstrate strong classroom management and data-driven instructional mindset.
• Commitment to serving Title I and multilingual communities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver rigorous, standards-aligned instruction aligned to AMS curriculum frameworks.
• Differentiate instruction to support students performing above and below grade level.
• Use formative and summative assessment data to drive instructional planning and interventions.
• Build strong foundational skills in reading, writing, and mathematics.
• Establish a structured, positive, high-expectations classroom environment.
• Collaborate with grade-level teams and instructional leaders to improve teaching practices.
• Participate in weekly professional development and school-wide initiatives.
• Engage families through regular communication and conferences.
