Job summary

ABM is seeking a full-time custodian in Ann Arbor, MI. The role includes daily cleaning of shop and office spaces and advancing a 5S concept score. The shift runs 7:30am–4:00pm, with no experience required and on-the-job training offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 1–2 years of relevant experience or equivalent education.
• No experience required; training will be provided.
• Adherence to quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Performs custodial work in offices, warehouses, industrial areas and other built interiors.
• Sweeps, vacuums, mops, scrubs, waxes and polishes floors with standard or industrial equipment.
• Empties recycling and trash receptacles daily and disposes contents properly.
• Dusts and cleans walls, doors, glass, windows and ceilings; uses ladders as needed.
• Moves cabinets, boxes, furniture and equipment to clean areas.
• Removes stains from surfaces using chemicals and cleaning solutions.
• Sweeps walks or performs other incidental seasonal tasks as required.
• Keeps lunchroom surfaces and appliances clean and free from stains.
• Participates in upholding 5S standards.
