Job summary

Verizon is seeking a qualified Senior Project Manager for 5G Wireless Delivery to lead projects delivering Verizon Private networks and MEC solutions. You will coordinate cross‑functional teams across multiple lines of business to ensure high‑quality deployments and successful handoffs.

Hybrid work location with three days in‑office. Strong background in infrastructure programs and PMP/CAPM certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Six or more years of relevant experience in programs/projects.
• Six+ years in managing technical infrastructure programs and projects.
• Industry project management certification such as PMP or CAPM.
• Strong experience leading complex and concurrent endeavors.
• Experience within Cellular Technology, Radio Frequency, Regulatory and Construction.
• Experience with Smartsheets and Google docs.
• Certifications such as CCNA, JNCIA, etc.
• Interest in emerging technologies (IoT, SDN, NFV).
• Ability to influence others and collaborate with stakeholders.
• Excellent organizational & communication skills; urgency to deliver.
• Ability to work under time constraints and meet deadlines.
• Ability to move a project from start to finish with minimal assistance.

What you'll be doing...

The 5G Wireless Delivery Senior Project Manager will be responsible for managing multiple concurrent projects focused on the delivery of Verizon Private networks and MEC solutions including design, implementation, and handoff to support.

The Project Manager will lead cross functional teams across multiple lines of business (including, but not limited to: Verizon Enterprise, Verizon Wireless (Product, IBV Radio Frequency, Regulatory and Construction and GNT) to ensure a high quality delivery of PWN and MEC deployments. This individual must work collaboratively in a dynamic, face-paced environment and be able to proactively seek creative solutions to complex problems.

• Providing customer with a single point of contact for all project communications.
• Projecting planning, including developing project objectives, developing work breakdown structures, developing schedules, identifying quality acceptance procedures and documenting a project plan.
• Projecting implementation, including tracking and evaluating schedules, managing change control, coordinating the activities of all organizations involved in the implementation, issuing project reports and implementing project controls.
• Overseeing and managing the overall installation process, including ordering (equipment and backhaul), RF engineering, infrastructure readiness and construction, installation, turn up, delivery to ongoing support and equipment and services invoicing. Project completion and close-out, including obtaining customer agreement of close-out.

What we're looking for...

You'll need to have:

• Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.
• Six or more years of experience managing technical infrastructure programs and projects.
• Industry project management certification such as PMP or CAPM.
• Strong experience in leading complex and concurrent endeavors.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

• Experience within Cellular Technology, Radio Frequency, Regulatory and Construction
• Experience with Smartsheets and Google docs.
• Technical industry certifications such as CCNA, JNCIA, etc.
• Demonstrated interest in emerging technologies such as IoT, SDN, NFV, etc.
• Ability to influence others and collaborate with various stakeholders in an effective manner.
• Excellent organizational & communication skills and be able to work with a sense of urgency.
• Ability to work effectively under extreme time constraints and the ability to prioritize tasks to deliver against critical deadlines.
• Ability to take high level direction and proactively move a project or internal initiative from start to finish with minimal assistance.

Where you'll be working

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes working from home and a minimum of three days per week in the office, which will be set by your manager. Employees are responsible for maintaining compliance with hybrid work policies.

The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part-time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.The annual salary range for the Maryland location(s) listed on this job requisition based on a full-time schedule is: $108,000.00 - $188,000.00.
