Job summary

Compass Point, an Akima company, seeks a senior 5G architect to design secure DoD-enabled networks at Fort Meade, MD. This hybrid role requires commuting distance and offers a path to impact DoDIN integration.

You will develop NSaaS, zero-trust architectures, and lab implementations, collaborating with DISA and OUSD R&E to advance 5G security, orchestration, and monitoring across programs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of telecom with MNOs.
• 2+ years working with 5G in DoD environment.
• 2+ years supporting DoD/DISA 5G initiatives.
• Top Secret/Final Top Secret/Top Secret SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Follows 3GPP 5G security standards for DoD missions.
• Develops 5G reference architectures with NSaaS and security.
• Designs zero-trust DoD-aligned architectures on commercial 5G.
• Collaborates with DISA, OUSD R&E and DoD CIO for NS/CM/SRG guidance.
• Monitors security events and optimizes performance across environments.
