Job summary

River Valley Holdings is seeking a Warehouse Receiver in Syracuse, NY, with a 5am start time. The role involves receiving inbound freight, palletizing items for put-away, and ensuring adherence to HACCP and SQF guidelines to maintain product quality.

This is a full-time, first-shift position reporting to the supervisor. Responsibilities include inspecting equipment, accurate item verification, and safe operation of warehouse equipment to ensure inventory integrity and proper packaging.

Qualifications

• Experience in receiving processes or warehouse operations is a plus.
• Ability to follow HACCP and SQF guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Arrive on time for the start of the scheduled shift
• Perform a pre-operation inspection of any equipment being used in the receiving process
• Accurate receive items and palletize them for put away
• Adhere to HACCP requirements of refrigerated loads
• Follow company and SQF guidelines when handling products, including the handling of damaged cases found during receiving
• Ensure pallets are properly wrapped to ensure stability though the warehouse
• Operate equipment in a safe manner at all times
• Verify, UPD, Description, and Pack Size of item being received
