Job summary

ICD, a J. Gibson McIlvain Company, is seeking a CNC Operator to set up and run woodworking CNC routers for custom millwork and cabinetry projects. The role requires reading shop drawings and selecting appropriate tooling, fixtures, and materials to ensure quality parts.

The candidate should have 2+ years of CNC experience in woodworking or manufacturing, basic G-code knowledge, and the ability to stand through shifts. Salary starts at $75,000 with bonus potential and a Monday–Friday schedule.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of CNC experience in woodworking/manufacturing.
• Ability to read shop drawings, cut lists, and specs.
• Knowledge of G-code programming preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC routers and related woodworking machinery to manufacture parts according to drawings and specs.
• Load, verify, and edit CNC programs as needed for accuracy and efficiency.
• Select tooling, fixtures, and materials for each job.
• Inspect finished parts for accuracy, quality, and conformance to specs.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and adjust feeds, speeds, and tool paths.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and cleaning.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with shop safety standards.
• Coordinate with supervisors, programmers, and other operators to meet deadlines.
