Job summary

AST SpaceMobile, based in Midland, TX, is seeking a skilled 5‑Axis CNC Programmer to support precision manufacturing in our satellite production facility.

The role will develop and maintain CNC programs for aerospace components, interpret engineering drawings with GD&T, and collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams. Compensation includes a $10,000 sign-on relocation bonus and hourly pay of $45.00–$55.00.

Qualifications

• 2–5+ years of experience programming and operating 5-axis CNC machines in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T specifications.
• Experience with precision aerospace components and tooling selection.

Responsibilities

• Program and operate 5-axis CNC machines to manufacture complex aerospace components.
• Perform machine setup including tooling, fixtures, offsets, and work holding.
• Load and verify CNC programs, verify parameters, and material selection.
• Monitor machine performance and optimize feeds and speeds for quality.
